ReThink YOUR Life

Hello Guys,

In fulflling the goal of Giv2Cure, I feel the need to step back and Rethink my life. This step backwards will enable me to better serve my community and families that call for help; the ones in need of assistence.

"Rethink Your Life" by Stan Toler is a book that I recently picked up from Half Priced Books, in Crystal, MN. It first introduces the wills of a christain and goes quite in depth into, what I interpret as, humanity's goal; a person's focus; what one was put on this earth to do.

Think about this and tell me, have you ever thought of the reason why your reside in this very planet? Why were we really placed in this world?; what is our purpose in life?, how do we find happiness?, why does suffering exist?, what accounts for the occurences that do occur in the very day?, why doesn't God fix everything; fix innocent suffering?


Lastly, where do reason arise from?

My response to these is quite simple. We (I) are/am put into this world to justify this corrupted earth; though God created the earth and heavens and saw that it was good, it all has come out of proportion, hasn't it?

To make a long argument short, I would agree with the famous philosopher, Dostoevsky and to some of his arguments given by his short story, The Russain Monk:

God: Some arguments for this position.

1.Free will outweighs anytype of suffering.
2.All part of God's convenant, everything will be shown to be right and just at the end when Jesus comes dpown and sends some to heaven and some to hell (those who deserve it).
3.Future Harmony outwieghs suffering. The suffering now will finally or ultimately lead to FUTURE HARMONY.
4. Suffering builds character; suffering is simply the contrast to helps us understand happiness.
5. Adam ate the apple, the fall of men inhereted sin, inhereted sin is what causes the suffering and we cannot do anyting about that.

Ivan: Some counterarguments for the above arguments.

1. If this (innocent suffering) is the meaning of freewill then God, I don't want it ! take it away and releive us of this innocent suffering, because FREEWILL DOES NOT OUTWIEGH SUFFERING!
2. Jesus will explain everything to me, if God came down and tells me that the tortured little girl was just and good, my rational mind could not possibly grasp of that information. There is not a way that my mind could understand of this explanation, how can it be justified? I can't, I just can't understand it; my rational mind could not take that into understanding, and if this was the case, I now am clueless of the meaning of GOOD and BAD.
3. You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs? Well don't break the egg then because I don't want the omelet.
4. Cannot be forgiving because what about the littleboy that got torn apart?! How did he build his character; how could he build his character, He's Dead!! Maybe his mother could build character from this, but man! that's just CRUEL! What the heck is this! This is crazy! How can one build character on another's suffering.
5. Ridiculous, this is!How can I inheret this from something that happened so lon ago? I wasn;t even around when this happened! How can this be? Adam ate the apple, why blame me for that!!!
