Over-the-counter medications for weightloss can be harmful for you. Over several dozen cases in HongKong has shown the significant health defects that are caused by usage of herbal medications. Of all cases, there was revealed 66 cases of human poisening, 8 cases of major illness, and 1 case of death.
Studies on these medications have revealed harmful as well as unlawful additives uncluded in its composition.
The popular thought is that herbal medicines for weight loss are all natural, and therefore safe. This perception is flawed with two issues: 1) not all natural substances are harmless; 2) the problem of harmful and unlawful components added into the drug without the consumers' knowledge (medicalnewstoday).
Indeed, one should simply stick to a diet low in carbs, high in vitamins (fruits and vegetables), coupled with reguler exercise. Medications holds too many risks.
